Folklore Failure
As being a film critic, I have no better way to express my delicacy of positive thoughts to a certain horror film. This may have looked good in adverts but when it came to general release, there’s been a downfall to it.

The goblins may have been funny, but the entire story to this film has made no sense whatsoever, not to mention there being less jumpscares. I honestly think that Unwelcome has not been the best horror film I’ve ever seen. I mean, you can hardly call it a horror movie, that doesn’t make any sense, without a plot twist or any jump scares.

Altogether, I don’t feel it’s necessary for this film to get a sequel and make a comeback, so other than that, this entire film has been a complete failure. Never watching again.

ripe for riffing
Well I just HAD to watch it,being Irish and a horror movie fan. I watched it with my 13 year old daughter who doesn’t know any better and we did have a fun watch riffing along with the truly awful stereotypical characters and the fact that Colm Meanys’ character insists on being called ‘Daddy Whelan’ means I now have a new catchphrase.

The creature effects were reasonable,picture the little guy terrorising Drew Barrymore in ‘Cats eyes’ blown up to kid size.

It’s a silly B-movie and there’s nothing wrong with being that.

The male lead was seriously annoying and I wished bad things for him,but that’s just me:)
